Plastic pallets are manufactured from polymers, primarily polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP). The most commonly used material is the durable polypropylene, sometimes combined with polyethylene. At Q-Pall, all our plastic pallets are now made from recycled material. Depending on the application, whether for single-use or multiple-use, a different material mix is applied. The so-called pool pallet also has a unique composition, possibly supplemented with specific additives. Our plastic pallets use recycled PE-HD #2, as shown in the image.
Since our plastic pallets are made entirely of plastic, they are fully recyclable at the end of their lifespan. Recycling plastic pallets contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. Our pallets, made of 100% plastic, support circular processes as they can be repeatedly recycled. In situations where pallets must meet strict requirements, such as food safety regulations, they can be produced from virgin PP or HDPE if necessary. This ensures the highest quality and compliance with all relevant standards.
